However, with what he currently has it is unequivocally his best chance at getting one. Cta can vary widely depending mostly on the Bo level, and Enigma a little on the defense, but even a +6 Cta probably won't get op a low enigma. The one instance I would recommend buying one over making one is if the base is very good, and you basically get the base armor for almost nothing. Enigma trades for twice what call to arms does. I use a Superior Dusk Shroud, which carries a nice repair bill with it. Some people like Mage Plate, some people like Dusk Shroud, some Archon Plates. Always keep in mind Strength requirements. You will need to socket Jah + Ith + Ber Runes in that order to make the Enigma Runeword. You don’t have to use the most expensive base (although I recommend using a good Superior one), but I wouldn’t settle for anything other than a perfect Non Superior base. Diablo 2 Resurrected Enigma Runeword requires level 65 and a 3 Socket Body Armor. My advice: When you make Enigma, make it in a base you can use on all or most of your characters, and one you would want to keep. Most people selling an Enigma they don’t want are still going to ask for close to 2 Bers or Ber Jah (depending on if you are on ladder), so you aren’t saving a lot by doing it that way. That will be a smaller amount of people on ladder at this point, but you might still be able to pull that off. It's really a shame when you consider how many cool rune-words and uniques there are for armor in D2. On non ladder, some people may want to cash out extra Enigmas or ones in bases that aren’t ideal or aren’t what they want. Enigma is the worst item in Diablo 2 Every single build with the exception of the sorceress has enigma as best in slot. Good question! First part depends on non ladder or ladder.
